Super Jet shortening rn

Thinking of shortening my rn sj. I ride mostly flatwater. Im thinking of shortening it around 2 inches for rear pump bolts. Im even considering shortening the top deck, But im also curious as to how short is to short. Im 5'9 240. I was also thinking bout cutting the gunwales like the lightweight hull. But not sure as to how strong the area in the rear will b where my footholds will b. any comments or suggestions would b awsome

Matt e had a nice build thread on his SJ shortening. Find it and read for good info. I'd say 2-3" at most since ur a stout guy. Nose rocker is a smart option too.

It has good instructions and photos.
I personally wouldn't bother with reshaping the gunwales. I don't think you add any performance or handling improvement.
