Super Jet Shortened pole, steering system??

I currently have my stock pole although my ultimate goal is to get myself more forward to increase the control factor. Initially I was thinking of shortening my pole somewhere between - 3-4"... Also my current steering is stock and in the stock setting, quick steer mod has not been done. I've read a few posts and done a little homework. So I have two things I'd like to accomplish, shorten the distance on the pole as well as improve my steering situation. I was looking at the Xscream Adj Steering System, will this effectively accomplish both?? If so, will this mount up to my stock pole without any modifications or the need for any additional parts? From what I'm reading it looks like it will adj from -2.5"-3.5".. I don't have any experience with a shortened handpole so I'm not sure if the final result is the same whether accomplished through a steering system or a shortened pole and if there are some pros and cons to both. Any input is appreciated.... THX.......

I just shortened my pole -3" and currently run a stock steering system. It made a huge difference. I had originally thought about getting a "shorty" steering system such as the ATP Mini/WDK Pro Steering system complement the shortened pole. After riding the ski with the shorter pole I don't think I will use such a short system as I think it would be too short for me/my foothold setup.

I would suggest you shorten your pole 3" and ride it a bit before you decide on steering system.

I just might do that. I was mostly wondering if the steering system would accomplish the same thing as shortening the pole with the added benefit of steering adjustability...

Hi cchaps cut your pole -3 mod your steering by moving the ball joint in as close as you can on the nozzle , you mite have to shave some plastic off the back if the nozzle as it will hit the pump with the extra throw and move it out on the turn plate ! Plus must adjust your steering cable so there is some slack or your bust your cable;-)
