Shortened Hull Exhaust Tube??

Building a Tom21 FX1 wondering is there any disadvantages to shortening the stainless exhaust tube for the engine compartment side to compensate for 6” shorter hull? Would like to keep stock flange on exterior for better seal if possible.

Shouldn't have an issue, you will lose the rib that help secures your rubber exahust tube to the stainless tube but should be fine without it, if you still want it, you could always weld a thick bead around the whole tube if you got a welder
