Other shop cart measurement ???

im going to be building a shop cart for a RN superjet and was hoping some of you could help me out with a your opinions on a couple dimensions since i dont have the ski where i can measure it right at the moment.

first one is the overall height? what have you guys found to be the best height (floor to top of bunk)? i was thinking 30" but am open to suggestions from you guys.

second is the spacing of the bunks. i plan on just using 2x4's on end without any angle to them. what have you guys found to be the best spacing for this? i was thinking 10" or 11" between the 2x4's but wanted to confirm.

thanks all

I have built a few and i use a 4x4 for the 4 legs and just like a 1x6 for trim around the top and a piece of plywood on the bottom. it is whatever height you want it to be i like to make it the same as the back of my pickup truck so that i can just slide it in and out by myself no problem. just measurer the wheels plywood 4x4 and the 2x4 and do the measurements youself. im deployed now so i cant take pictures or send you my measure ments but i tried helping you the best i could. its nice to get the little shopping cart wheels and also the plywood on the bottom to make a try out or it to put gas tanks whatever.

yeah, i know a lot of people set the height the same as the truck or trailer but i see this being more of a work cart and i dont really want to be bent over all the time when i am monkeying around with the ski (which is how it would be if i put it at trailer height). i know that the best height would differ depending on how tall you are but im average height (6'-0) so i figured somebody else would have a cart that they thought was really nice height wise for when they work on their ski. but most likely im overthinking the whole thing and should just go with the 30" height i had in my head.

make the top of the bunks out of 2" PVC and the frame out of something more sturdy then PVC. 11" works well on my 750sx but the x-2 would require something more like 13"-14". Height would be whatever you are comfortable with while considering your primary transportation methods.
