i have aligned my motor numerous times and every time the coupler get hot still, so i went and gave it a shot again tonight. I tighten the 4 mounts to the hull, loosen the 4 bolts from the bed plate, and with the dampener out i shimmed the front of the motor, got the side to side alignment, and the set the distance between the two couplers somewhere between 2 & 3mm apart all around, well within specs listed in the yami manual. as i tightened the 4 bolts back i then went to take the mounts off of the hull to reinstall the dampener, and two of my mounts actually move once the bolts are out as if they are twisted under pressure. this has happened each time i do it and i assume that is why i cant get it right yet... wtf is happening? btw the mounts are in good shape and none are broken

When you tighten the bolts for the engine mounts it helps to hold the top of the aluminum section of the mounts with some water pump pliers or a pipe wrench to keep them from twisting.
