share your static timing and compression on msd enhancer setups

Im runnin 25 degree at 2000 rpm,at 190 comp with about half 110 to 93 oct for flatwater < this is rare and about 1gall 110 to rest 93 oct in surf. Im getting about 4 deg retard outa this enhancer at 7000 or so but dont really run top end in flatwater and never in surf. but even while doing carb tuning at wot at aprox 21 deg get no signs of detonation with half 110,put a little more water in the bpipe and little more fuel in the 48s and she rips, wondering if I can get away with straight 93 in surf.
thinking on trying advent,I see they have a analog to dig converter and get a few more degrees retard.but have seen alot of failures with them in others skis

The spec sport blasters (which rip) just run stock timing with the MSD which is about
25* max and about 180 psi cranking compression. They run the blaster mod chamber duel 48's and use pump gas. 190 psi with a ported engine may need a little more than pump even if your only riding in the surf.

static triming?

say around 2-3mm of stator plate rotation.. I eyeballed it.

compression? hmm, 35mm ada domes, on a worn out top end. maybe 160?

fuel,, straight 87 sometimes, sometimes some 91 with 94 mixed in.

hasnt blown up in a couple of seasons, BUT, if I hold it WOT for a while, with cheap gas it will start to slow down, I assume its getting hot and siezing, so I let up at that point.. its done that a few times...

A timing advance is usually not a good idea on pump fuel with added compression/pipe unless you do no extended wide open throttle runs...like as in freestyle competition style riding only.

eric...nice to know.Ive heard from a few those spec class skis are fast like that also.

mouth..wow bro 3 mill on the stator plate is prolly 25 or over.if your getting away with 87 oct,I bet your comp is pretty low.

chuck..running a little 110 in with some 93 if you want to ride flats at wot is acceptable right?

as I said, this engine is worn out, ada head with domes supposed to be in the 185 range, its 160 or less.

I typically try and run at least 91, but often will mix a few gallons of 87 in there ( thats all I can get at the lake with out a long drive)

knock on fiberglass, its been OK so far!

I run 68 degrees at 2000 and retard it to 55 at 7000............

Thats with 358 pounds of cranking compression on e-85............mixed at 250:1 with Walmart Supertech Oil:woot:

This thing hits HARD......must be the port timing that makes it work.
