Had a little trouble in the ICW yesterday. Wasn't doing anything too crazy, and the engine was running great. Suddently I had a huge power loss and the engine got really loud. Then it completely stopped. Swam it to shore to find that the engine wouldn't turn at all. That and it siezed so hard that the impeller actually came loose.
I get home and pull the head, and there's a good bit of metal in the rear cylinder. Weird thing is there's no scoring on the walls or visible damage to the piston that I can find yet. No signs of running lean in that cylinder either.
I'll get some pictures later this week once I start taking it apart and have a better idea of what went wrong. I was planning on replacing this engine at the end of the season, but I guess it decided to retire early.
