Hey All,

i have a Seadoo XP 2001 135 HP ( some mudds ) ....my friends have standup superjets....WHAT DO I DO ? i've tried a few times ( 1 hour overall ) i can stand on it for too long ( 20 sec. ) should i sell the XP and go for standup ? any ideas? i was looking at SXR 800 but was told its too heavy and no fun for tricks.....i was told superjet is most fun .....HHHHEEELLLPPP

i want the superjet ...more challange...more tricks, easirt to move off water, i'm just scared i will never be able to stay on the dam thing, 20 sec. is just not enough.....is superjet easy ( not too expensive ) on repair and maintanice

In a nut shell...

If you are athletic and looking for a personal rewarding challenge, then go for the Stand-up. If you seem to be complacent, and avoid or don't like challenges and a tough work-out (especially in the learning stage), then a Sit-down is for you. I had a Sit-down Kaw 750ss, my wife rode it. As for which stand up, I own a Kaw 750sxi-pro and manage to look pretty good out there. Can manage most tricks, except BRs and Backies, although guy do them on this ski all the time. You can find them at a very reasonable price too. IMO, SJ or 750, is great fun!!!

You sound like a child coming off training wheels. Sure, it'll take ya a full month to really get the feel for it; but when ya do its a whole new ride and you'll never go back.

I agree...1 hour of experience is not enough to learn how to ride it well.

Just keep in mind to the crowd you are talking too here...but as far as I am concerned, ride what you enjoy most...but I think if you got more seat time on a SJ, than you would make up your mind pretty quickly.

WOW ..thanks foe all the replies, thats helped. Yes i know how to ride a bike, yes i like a challange. I have made up my mind. i'm going to keep my seadoo..................AND get a superjet.....Thanks for all the pointers

fj if it helps..

i made the transition this year from a 2000 seadoo rx to a superjet.. i still got the Rx, but since ive gotten the SJ ive only ridden my seadoo 2 or 3 times.. and thats only to launch it for someone else or to watch someone else use my superjet..

1 hour is not enough to judge it.. ive beeb riding 3 months now and still fall off regulary.. the best part is getting back up and doing it again..riding the standup has been much more challenging, but also rewarding...

i dont miss the couch at all.. (occassionaly for the speed)

That's the decision I made over 2 years ago! :biggthumpup:

One month later, I bought a second SJ and sold the Seadoo. Haven't regretted it once.

After I got my stand up I rode my couch ONCE, just to make sure it ran good so I could sell it. :cool2:
