Can't believe how many different types there are!

I have been offered a mint 14 Vane version for my SJ which runs a 6mm DASA stroker 847cc with F Specs and TL - would this be ok or would a 12 vane be more suitable? The stock pump with Solas can't seem to cope and it's a pretty steep pitch. I guess OEM pumps aren't made for that torque/HP?

yes 14 vein will work fine.

Are you sure your prop pitch is right with the stock pump?
Are you sure you do not have any air coming into the pump?

What Solas are you currently running? We tried a 15/19 with our DASA motors and it didn't work. We (Scott and I) are using Impros Hookers (14/19 and 14/18) for now.

My ski has a 14-19, minus 3 , latest skat and it works good... but I ordered a 144mm 12vane set back pump so I can try and be cool. should be here in a few weeks, will report after the test ride .

Mine is a 13/17 Concord repitched to 14/19 or thereabouts. Once its hooked up its fine, it just takes that split second to bite when you land from your pre-hop or jump, if your even slightly on the gas you can feel it slipping ever so slightly and loosing height on the roll/jump.. A buddy has a Mag pump on his ski (with a smaller motor) and this hooks up like nothing I've ridden - the second you land its 'instant traction'

Loving the DASA cylinder and stroker crank though - the difference in torque over a 701/760 is insane!
