SBN fuel line orientation

Picked up a brand new minty SBN 44 from jet maniac. The fuel line inlet and return are pointed in a fashion that makes the hood kink the inlet line.(550 Yamasaki). Is it possible to rotate the fuel bung on the carb 90* so it’s not pointing directly at the hood seal? I can put an open end 12mil wrench on the bung but not sure if they can be spun. Are they threaded in or pressed? I have other SBN 44’s that don't have the square ends on them. The come straight out of the carb body(to the right looking at the pump side of the carb).

I have done this. Just apply easy pressure, dont bow up on it.

Yes they will usually come out and go back in fairly easily and I have never had issues with one leaking afterwards .

The fittings seem to be slightly tapered so I carefully turn them and pull them out to reposition. Be careful because the material is very soft. It’s easy to mess up the fit so it won’t get tight again. In that case make some punch marks around hole and that will restore the press fit.
