S/S switch extra part ID? (pic)

S/S switch is apart getting new guts from @JetManiac. I’m leaving for the lake in 2 hrs. This piece was loose in my S/S switch housing when I opened it up. What is it and where does it go?

It goes in between the zip-tie on the harness and the rubber grommet in the housing so the cable doesn't pull out of the housing.

Unbelievable . My S/S went out on me yesterday . Took it apart today and came across the same loose part in the housing . Was going to ask very same question tonight . Mystery solved . LOL

Is there a way to hook up a start switch without purchasing the whole start/stop assembly ? Tried searching to no avail .

Can you just purchase the start button without buying the whole start /stop assembly. Searched but can not find .

You can buy the harness with the 3 buttons separate from the plastic housing but not broken down any further than that.
