Super Jet Runs Fine then Wont Start?

My 98 superjet runs perfect the entire time i ride it. Then when i shut it off, it wont start. it turns over fine, but wont fire. When i let it sit for over 15 minutes, it starts fine. i already ruled out the spark plugs being a problem. Any ideas? The motor is all stock.

I say stator as well. I had one do that exact same thing a couple years ago. I had a Riva CDI installed at the time and swapped to an MSD Enhancer and it ran better but only for a couple more rides and then started doing it again. I sent the stator to JSS and it hasn't missed a beat since.

Just a quick update, after riding it and shutting it off and not starting again, I did a spark test and there is spak but will not fire. I also put some pre mix down the cylinders and it still did not fire. But after waiting an hour, it finally started again. I know a lot of you said it's the stator, but is there anything less expensive I should could try first, before replacing the stator? I also opened the electrical box and found that there was a little corrosion in there and I did put some dielectric grease on the connections, but nothing changed after I road it. Any more suggestions? Could it be a fuel problem or something with the start and start switch?

Also to be clear it runs fine when I ride it. I usually ride it for over 30 minutes and shut it off myself. It has never shut off on its own. But will not start again for over 30 minutes.

Lots of that going around this year for some reason. Trimming the wires back and reattaching the ends is pretty common but coils themselves are usually good for life. Glad to hear you got it figured.
