Super Jet round nose hood liner

does the black liner in the round nose hood offer any type of support. my hood needs a little work and if the liner does not act as support then i am taking it out. i will be running a handle pole with air tubes so i want to seal all the holes on the hood.

Idnt think it does when i removed mine its just a flimsy piece of plastic

I've pulled one from a stock hood before. A stock hood ain't strong anyways, but without the liner it gets really​ flimsy.

thanks matt i do plan on reinforcing it. it has a crack on one side. and i will be covering all the stock holes.

the oem sn hoods get pretty flimsy when the liner is gone so i would venture to guess the same is with the rn hood but also nothing two or so layers of cloth cant fix...would also seal the airlets

It's like putting a bend in a piece of metal and making it strong. It's a weak piece of plastic that serves as a cross bracing.
