Custom/Hybrid rotary switch protector

after breaking my rotary switch (again) last weekend, i put a new one on and didnt want to break the new one, so i came up with this. i think blowsion makes a protector, but this was free and i hate waiting for stuff.

its a riva duck-bill drain fitting. i had to grind the 6 corners of the plastic switch nut to let the fitting slide over it and 'squash' the turf a bit. i put the rubber from the bill over the fitting, but cut the bill off for a little cushion around it.

i hope it works good enough.

That's an excellent idea way cheaper than those other protector's also.

of course im assuming thats how you broke the last switch^

im not sure how it broke. i rode up to the beach and went to shut off my pumps and it was broken off.

mine looks to be way less of a shin buster as its bigger, rounder, doesnt protrude into the tray as much and has the rubber around it.


... of course, i wouldnt have to worry about it if i just were to install my ppffh :dunno:
