I dont know specific wieght.....

I rode a freinds with a RR.... felt like I was holding a ton of bricks (no spring, semi lose bolt).... it was cool how he changed the lenght in a snap! (you can realy hear the engine beacuse you basicly have to pipes coming form the bilge to your hands.....

I saw one with a spring and it was floating of the hood....

I guess im used to mine:
I ride with a AC squarenose pole, with strong spring, lose bolt......

Proformance1 (Brian) has one on his SXR... it felt really heavy to me before he installed it. With it on it was lighter than stock, but was still heavy to me. He tightened up his bolt and it pretty much will stay where every you put it now. It's actually pretty cool.

darrin anderson was running one on his sxr at pismo. i was talking to him about it, and he said it was the first day hes had it, but he didnt notice much diff from his ac. he said that just by looking at it, he could tell that the thing was pretty indestructable. he pointed out some spots that he thought might be weak (around steering area) but even those looked pretty beefy.

i think the rrp is kinda ugly, i like the look of the umi better.

about the same

RRP Pole is 12.75 LBS with pad support
stock is 8.5 lbs
UMIs are 9.75 lbs
AC Rick roy =12 lbs

Why is adjusting the pole length an issue...

I just don't see the reasoning for a adjustable pole... well, for freeriding
and the weightand price are definately high at 12.5 lbs and 900$ (estimated)

Surprisingly enough, I thought the same thing last winter. Then this summer at a couple races, I spent half my down time changing the length of my stock kawi pole steering, because of water conditions. I just have different subplates and turnplates, nothing fancy, and it was a big pain in the a s s to do when I changed. The RRP pole is actualy nice to be able to adjust it for racing, for freeriding I dont see any purpose, unless you like to change it up. It is pretty expensive, no doubt. I want one though. and I still think the measley 12.5 pounds doesnt matter much compared to an xmw 9.5. Some people I know like their poles heavy.... I think thats nuts
