I have a 96 WB1 with a riva red pipe, ada head, and boyesen reeds. When I run it on the stand out of the water and give it a quick braaap it revs for about 2 seconds after I let off. Any ideas what could be causing that?

it only does it for a second or two then goes back down. when it is on the water it never happens.

Doesn't a lean condition cause an engine to run-on (take a while to settle back to idle) under minimal load?

Why? Your trying to make it worse?
go the other way and richen it up, you sound to lean already. anymore could get you a new top end if your not careful
