removing Pump ?

Im pulling out my pump right now to tap it and put a new impellar in. I already removed the rideplate and the 4 bolts holding the pump on... But the pump still feels pretty solid its not really moving. It should just slide out toward me right? Should i just break out the rubber mallot and aid it a little bit or is there something else i need to do?

Just grab wiggel and pull it should pop loose. The seal that presses up aginst the pump shoe is what is holding it... Try to pull down then out. Once it moves it will comeout.

Alright got it out thanks, since i dont need the stock bildge can i just grind it so its flush with the pump then fill it with jb weld?

theres 2 locator pins between the pump and hull on a SJ.

down then back.

What about griding out the stock bildge thing that sticks out on the inside of the pump? Then just fill the hole with jb weld?
