When I replace the original flywheel with a lightweight type a couple years back, I noticed in comparing the two before installation that the teeth plane on the new one was slightly forward than original one.
When I press the start button aprox 25-30% of the time the bendix teeth do not engage the flywheel, and the bendix just spins, press again, or the next, and teeth engages the flywheel and starts.
Q- Is there a way to move the bendix slightly forward (1-1.5mm) to close the gap so it engage all the time? Hopefully this can be accomplished without removing flywheel.
Let me know...
