The SS metal reeds are OEM Yamaha. They will work fine, but if one breaks and goes through your engine it could spell trouble. They are pretty old skool these days. I dont even know if they still make them for any Yamahas. They switched over to fiberglass some time ago.
If a fiber reed goes through your motor it will probably just get chewed up and spit out with no damage.
Definitely stay away fro the SS reeds.

Just to note, my OEM 2008 reeds are stainless. Looks like Yamaha is still using them.

same here nothing carbon. i upgraded to carbontech. nice insurace
