I can not seem to find any pictures of what US Composites red epoxy pigment will look like once setup. Anyone want to help me out:beerchug: And I assume 1oz will be be enough for the entire engine bay? (sidewalls and floor; excluding the nose)

are you going to use clear white or neutral gelcoat? one oz is good for a qt but id mix that one oz in like half a qt and u will still have leftover material. you can get a translucent red mixed with celar gel and get a deeper candy look over a boring minimal gloss (unpolished) red

gel coat? I was planing on mixing the pigment with the epoxy and add it to the final layer on a wet layup / sidewall reinforcement.

I have used a ton of black. If you mix it to light it comes out translucent like Carter says. Us composites can tell you the ratio . I think you would need to use it thru out the lay up if you want it to be a deep red. FYI tape everything off you don't want red ... it can get messy it shows up every where un like clear resin . I think you will like the results .

just don't mix too much pigment with your resin, i've run into issues where the epoxy didn't bond all that well when i added the pigment, though i probably used too much.
depending on how much resin you use at one time, i would add the least amount of pigment possible until you get to the color you want. you can always add more.

good luck.
