Rebuilt pump (does not spin easily)

I just rebuilt my pump on my fx1 with new bearings and seals. It does spin so freely. does it have to break in a bit?

Mines the same, it will free up a little once its had a chance to bed in.

My brand new Mag pump was the same way. It loosened right up after the first ride.

i rebuild my pump last year and could hardly move it when i put it in, pulled it out this year spins np

you have the spacer installed between the bearings and the prop right?

i forgot to put mine in and it was tighter than tight

Make sure the rear of the shaft is not rubbing on the cone too. Just pull the cone off and see if it spins more freely. If so you need to knock the shaft forward a little more to get it seated properly.
