I now have two used cranks on the shelf and wonder what to do with them. I've been keeping them for cores but most hotrod cranks I've seen don't require cores.
Yamaha 701 - I bought a Hotrod crank last year and just replaced the original as part of a routine rebuild. The original still turned nice and is now wrapped in plastic in the hotrods box, ready to go out. Junk, rebuild or sell for core? I really don't need a backup crank for this machine...dammit... now I will for sure!
Seadoo 951 - Lost connecting rod bearings only on the mag side, everything else is good. Send for rebuild or just get a Hotrod crank?
Is it more cost effective to send them out for rebuild or just buy new ones?
