Im about to do mine in a week or two when the parts come in. I think it sounds better, looks better, and it will keep all the exhaust gunk off my pump.

Cost vs benefit - Don't waste your time
Perf gain if any is minimal, it weakens an already flimsy thin transom and when you have to replace the waterbox with an aftermarket one people will hate you - it's obnoxiously loud ( Imagine a ricer with a coffee can muffler but way louder).
Stricky had one way back in the day with a TDR box - He was great for attracting water cops attention and taking the heat of off of us tho

just wondering. i'm about to try my wdk1200 with a dry pipe in it. wasn't sure if it killed performance. thanks guys!
Not to thread hijack here, but the gel coat on my blaster's transom seems to be cracking. Could this be caused by a warping/deteriorating transom? I sure hope not.

The TDR waterbox is obnoxious on any ski. The one I my GP800 always got liquid popo's attention.
I dont think you need to run a different waterbox to run a rear exit exhaust. My ski sounds great with a rear exhaust, riva red pipe and Riva waterbox. More throaty than tinny any day.

I think you are seeing crazing of the gel coat and that is normal.
Stricky beat his up so bad he had a hole you could put ur fingers thru - He would just run the pumps and drain plugs out... for 2 yrs.... lol
