Freestyle Re-pitching my hooker 9/15

My prop started as a 9/15 blowsion prop big hub.

I bent the rear of the blades via adjustable wrench and the gauge downloaded from green hulk. That was easy. To a 17* instead of 15*

Through it back in the ski and it defiantly made a good difference even being a 9/17

My question is in the picture. The 11* line lines up with the prop. The 9* line comes no where near the same angle no matter how i hold the gauge up to it. So where is this 9* angle measured from? Or is this prop sent out really a 11/15.

I am trying to make it an 11/17 to go with my solas mag in my BB 850 b piped sj.

I dont know where MFGs get their leading edge number, it seems to be made up. All modern impellers are cambered so that the leading edge is very flat, it looks like your is a little steeper than others. Bending the trailing edge down will increase the load a lot.

I have heard (and don't know how accurate the statement is) that the 'said pitch' is not very accurate from prop manufacturers.
Apparently to get what you really want you need to order by casting numbers.
