R/N pole on a square

Anyone know if a round nose pole will fit a square??

Yes it will. Contact legdragpete, he has the conversion bracket(I think its 140 bucks).

it will but you will need to run a custom pole mount or modify a stock roundnose setup to work...do a search either here or over at pwct, you will find what you are looking

pete no longer has any brackets...and don't think he is planning on making any more. I talked to him about a month and a half ago.

Maybe he will if there is enough demand...

or do like I did, just drill new holes, and use the Roundnose Bracket too.

I would ad a shim under it so it sits closer to level though.
I had to grind my pole a bit to get it to go up high enough.

a simple piece of wood, glassed over would have changed that.

wasnt the front of your pole cut off though? cause if its a stock pole there no way you'd get it to pivot high enough with the hood hooks inside the bracket area without one heck of a shim. :thinking:

I moved te hood hooks outside of the bracket.

and I DID grind off the end of the pole some.

a shim would solve the grinding though.
and the hood is more secure with the hood hooks further apart.

the pole goes up plenty.

THe pole has that stop to save the cables from getting sheared. I was going pull my stop for more hight but the only time I have the pole that high is when I am wrenching or wrecking.

Thanks for the input fellas:biggthumpup: It's for a friend who now has 2 ski projects & nothing to ride:frown: I gave my bracket & pole from my s/n to see if it can be made to work.

What are you guys talking about with the stock steering cable? I did a conversion and didnt have to do anything to my cable. I used an AC pole, did I miss something..

The FX1 pole cannot use a std steering cable.

I put an xmw pole on my square and used the xmw roundnose bracket and it works awesome. I love the setup. Like other people said, the pole doesnt extend up as far as it should but it doesnt effect riding at all.
