Quick Q: Does my carb need a gasket?

1992 Seadoo XP
44 SBN carb


I've pulled the intake manifold and noticed that there isn't a gasket between the carb and the manifold.

Is there supose to be a gasket?

Yea im pretty sure there should be one there, there may not be one on the intake to cases im pretty sure on that ski its sealed with a o-ring. Check the micro fiche if you can find one

I got the manual. That's got an exploded view of the carb, the IM, but not the carb mating to the IM. In all the pictures that are in the manual about the carb and the rotary valve system, I don't see any any pictures where the carb is on the IM and a gasket was visible. That's not saying much, though...

Yes, it does take 1. It fell off without me noticing when I removed the carb. :doh: Oh well.
