if you measure from the top of the cylinder to the top of the exhaust port i can help you
also give me the measurements to the top of the transfer ports as well
i can give you a rough idea from that

Measuring from the top of the cylinder can be misleading as sometimes cylinders are decked. The only thing that is constant is that the crank rotates 360 degrees therefore the best way is to check the port duration is with a degree wheel.

the measurements are:

Top of exhaust port to deck: 35mm
Bottom of exhaust port to base of cylinder: 47mm

Top of transfer port to deck: 55mm
Bottom of transfer port to base: 48mm

overall height from deck to base (of the casting) is 120mm

thanks...

ok the cylinder is std height
the exhaust port is roughly
192 degrees duration
the transfer is 117 degrees duration
this is a stroker cylinder
its quite a high exhaust port it will run ok
but you will need to put big comression on it to make it come off the bottom and then it will scream up top
i would look at lifting the transfer slightly as there is more power to be had there

in my op
i would run it and see what it goes like

depends what you mean by bottom
if you are saying just off idel then yes its not going to have as much as a cylinder ported for just for bottom end
in the mid range its more than likely have more and well the top end is going to haul
i think you could gain a bit with moving the transfers up

Remeber i am giving your rough figures assuming its piston comes right to the top and that you are bang on with meausrements

The cylinder with decent ignition timing in it will pull hard
what is the rest of your setup
