This question is for people who can flatwater flip. Any of you have a problem with keeping your head looking straight back? At about 3/4 of a flip I stop looking back and start tucking my right shoulder. I can not seem to stop doing this. Any tips or thngs I can do to not do this? It's a reflex I can't stop doing

I know it's frustrating to hear but your looking good! Your getting good height. We know you got the power! And your form to me looks pretty good it just sucks cuz the part your missing is all
Mental. Just gotta keep that head throw as far as you can.

This is no setup wake and nosed in. Unless you have huge power really need to squat and kick hard with your legs fully extended. Head back and bring that pole towards your chest to rip the front around.
Hope this helps

Thanks man! It does suck cause its a reflex for me to tuck my head like I'm doing. I did get some great info from Lucas that will help ALOT. Can't wait to get off work today and try it out

To push my stomach more forward. He was saying you can just throw your head back and still have bad form but if you push your stomach forward it will cause your head to go back. In my case I can see where this will help cause before I stop looking back I start to bend my knees and push my ass out almost go into a roll position.
If I pushed my stomach forward it would help me not to do that

This is a great vid to watch. Don't know why I didn't realize he is pushing his stomach forward. I always go back to this vid
