No, in fact I would go so far as to say the opposite.
Take a look at the newer gen hulls (XFS etc) - they all have larger wider tracks to keep the pump loaded for as long as possible - restricting this aperture would have the opposite effect I would have thought?

yeah what i thought i had read, not sure how id go about widening my rn pump intake area. Havent seen of anyone on here doing that mod.
