Protec rec head install

How do you install the protec rec head on a 61x cylinder. It says to use orings and permatex ultra black sealant?

Usually use oring to seal the cylinder, (compression) and a grove in head fir that oring.. then use the rtv on the water jacket (outer perimeter) to seal that water jacket

Yup thats it. Not the smartest way to do things IMO but it does work.

I mean I don't think protec thought that out very well, they should have machined the outside for an o-ring as well like say ADA. O ring+rtv is the only way to do a protec head install.
