Prop question PICTURE

Hello I currently running a skat 9/17 with my modded 701.

I just purchased a used hull that came with a bumch of stuff includings a whole jet pump.

Question: I read the numbers on the prop but dont under stand them.

Solas 145-18 y6-sc-1

What prop is this and how will it diff from what I am running.

I want to swap them out to feel this diff but I am a little puzzled on how to get this prop off. It isnt like my Skat were you put a wrench on the prop and spin it off???

its a 14.5/18

pretty steep, was a popular race impeller back in the day for stout engines I think.

Its pretty tall for any low end from what I understand.

oh and you need the solas impeller tool to remove it, pull the rubber nose plug off, and you will see 4 little tangs inside.

The Solas YB-SC-I is usually more load than the Skat 9-17, it could hurt accelleration. You need to remove the cone seal and use a Solas tool to engage the prop. Why not install the whole pump as it is?

It's a 14.5/18 and will need a lot of engine to pull it. It will have nice top end, though. You'll need an impeller tool to remove it once you get the rubber boot off.
