Tried hooking up my PC to my 44" LG DLP with an RGB cable. I get a signal when the computer is first booting up but once it gets past the first boot screen it goes black and I get "no signal". If I swap the cable back to my monitor it works fine just not on the TV.

i would use straight vga cable from computer into the tv. if you comp is new or you have a good video card use hdmi.

as far as your problem, you may have to adjust the video settings on your comp. if its a pc right click and go to display options.

I tried adjusting the resolution to 1280X720 and still nothing. I don't have a good video card, just the cheapo built in Dell one.

get a vga splitter of ebay for about $5....then just run a str8 vga monitor cable to your tv...you get the best quality out of that.

I tried adjusting the resolution to 1280X720 and still nothing. I don't have a good video card, just the cheapo built in Dell one.

and the cheapo dell card has RGB out? I can't say I have seen that? Is it S-video?

Is your PC's monitor LCD or CRT (tube)?
Check the refresh rate (set on 60hz) on your PC's video settings.

If you are calling the vga cable that goes from your monitor RGB then that is about as good as it will get. For a basic video card. But you need to find the optimal resolution for your tv and then setting the computer for that. I had problems setting up my HTPC. I had to download differnt video drivers and make sure that everything set up before my tv would pick up the signal. Also try turning your tv on after the computer is booted up and running. I don't know but I had to do that a time or 2 until I got the resolution set up.

I bet you have a monitor configured in windows XP.

Is the monitor you're currently using crt? j/w

Try removing the monitor from xp. It all has to do with the screen size and refresh rate xp is using to talk to your TV.
