Problem with 650!

I had my 650 SN out the other day and I was riding mostly at full throttle around the lake when all of a sudden im holding full throttle slapping on waves when my ski bogs and catches itself and goes full throttle again! what could this be.. its happened to me before but now its happing more often! Im guessing its a common problem for these old bitches but I don't know. Thanks!

It could be the cdi starting to go. This happened to me a few times before mine started intermittently losing spark losing all power. Figured I'd let you know because it ended my season short last year and I finally caught it just last week.

How I found it was a 10 dollar spark test light from autozone. When it happened it looked like a strobe light...going in and out in time with the mis fire sound..when running right you could hardly see a flicker between sparks it was so fast and bright. I def think it's in the ebox!

If you haven't done this already You might want to cut back the spark plug wires and reinstall the ends and boots, the wires like to break inside right near the plug boots and causes intermitant bogging and cylinder misfires in varing degrees in rough water while skis bouncing or when jumping.
Had leaking spark out the high tension wires when they get wet in the past too same symptoms
