pro tec pipe

okay so heres the deal, i have a 93 sn with a 650 in it, i have a protec pipe for a 701 and i know it will work on my 650 by grinding the chambers to match the exhaust manifold. the question i have is, has any one used the bored out pipe on a 701?

i want to build a 701 eventually and would like to use the pipe, but need to know if it going to hurt anything on 701 chambers

thanks

I think folks are a little confused by your post. I think you are meaning cylinder when you typed chamber. If that is the case, the only potential difference is the bolt size for mounting the ex manifold to the cylinder. So get it bolted to the cylinder and your good to go. You shouldn't have to grind anything.

and what he said. The bolt holes in a 61X 701 cylinder and a 6m6 650 cylinder are the same. If it is a 701 pipe bolt it up and run. If it is a 650 pipe it will work fine now as well but you would want to match grind the manifold to bolt it to a 701 cylinder.

if it is the pipe with the chrome chamber just sell or trade it to me LOL.

Yea what he said. I think if your putting a 701 pipe on a 650 you will not need to grind it just if your putting a 650 pipe on a 701. Just match the exhaust gasket up to both the cylinders and manifold and check it out for yourself.
