Super Jet Pro-tec pipe help. Running hot (I think)

I'm attaching a picture of how I have it hooked up.
I do not use the electronic water injection, so that port is blocked off. I have a RIVA head, one of the two water outlets has a (stripped) brass plug in it so if I want to use it, I have to take the head off and remove it. (no big deal).

I took it to the lake yesterday and warmed it up. If I drop water on the head, it sizzles away within 5 seconds. Same with the pipe. When I got back from my test ride, my waterbox was VERY VERY hot, but the line from my head to pipe popped off so that doesn't really mean anything. I noticed that every single port on this pipe (pro-tec mach II) has a restrictor in it. I can hold my hand under the pisser (coming off the head) for about 3 seconds when it's running.

So my questions are, is there a better way to plumb this? If I open up the other water output port on my head, should I run it to a pisser or maybe the stinger and run the headpipe water exit to a pisser?
Is my head/pipe supposed to be that hot?

Here is the original

Here is how mine is setup (only red lines are hooked up, ignore the lines in the diagram)

sounds too hot
eliminate the pisser between the head and pipe
put the pisser between D and F to make sure you have lots of flow through the pipe
if you have a FCW, put it between the the and the stinger to dry out the wbox at low rpm
if you had dual cooling input, I would add a pisser to the front of the head
you probably should do that anyway with a really small restrictor
a/m head with dual outlets need to let hot water out both or hot water can get "trapped"
over the front cylinder

I would run dual cooling if I were you but even if you dont run dual cooling at least get both ports at the top of your head fixed. If you do that run one to your head pipe and were it comes out of the headpipe run it to a pisser. And with the other cooling line coming off the head run it too the stinger with a T going to another pisser.

I had the pisser there to let the engine cool better because there is a very small restrictor at the head pipe inlet.

But I took a step back and realized that this is setup half assed.
I'm putting in dual cooling this week. I'm running one to the exhaust manifold and dumping the head out of an unrestricted pisser.(out of both sides with a T)

I'm going to run the other to the pipe input, the output from the head pipe to the stinger, and put a restricted pisser between the stinger sand headpipe line. Seems to be the standard way everyone's doing it. Restrictors (seats) are already installed in each headpipe/stinger input/output.

sounds good. Also I like to run the water into the D port first and out the C port on the head pipe just so the colder water is being input more towards the manifold. If you do run dual cooling you could just T off one of the incoming lines and run that to the head pipe to have even colder water going to the head pipe.

I am going to run one line to the manifold, and the head will dump out pissers.

The other input line, I'll probably run to "C" like you said, then out D, pisser T, then stinger.

So anyone know where the water is "injected" to with E? Does it go through the waterjacket and straight into the middle of the headpipe pipe where the exhaust gasses are?

I ran this pipe for 2+ years per their original diagram, with only single cooling... we have 85+ degree water and it never got that hot.

They way it shows it is pretty much how i described how I plan to set it up (minus the 2nd exhaust mani fitting and the water injection).
One waterline feed to head, head to pisser.
One waterline feed to C.
D to F, pisser between D and F.

Without a doubt, my first setup in the drawing was not good.

Atomicpunk, did all of the ports in your headpipe/stinger have jets installed? I'm not sure if the mach II came from the pro-tec like this or not.

I had the one water injection and then the adjuster...

I did not have any other restrictors installed in the cooling lines.

Holy crap!!!, this explains some things. In fact, this explains lots of things. I just heard back from Carl @ pro-tec. I was told none of the mach II pipes came with jets installed on the headpipe, just a 165main jet in the stinger. Does anyone here with a mach II pipe have any (besides stinger) jets installed? So someone must have added these to the headpipe. Even the outlet from the headpipe has a jet installed in it.

I don't know what the other jets are, but that explains why my headpipe was so hot and also why my head was so hot. It couldnt get the water into the headpipe fast enough to keep cool.
