Other Pro-tec "kit"/cylinder question

The blaster I bought had pro-tec everything: head, pipe, grate, plate (maybe waterbox, I'm not sure of the make of it).

My question is, did protec do cylinder work too? the cylinder has the same coating on it as the head so it makes me think that it's had work done to it.

Yes, back in the day Protec ported and indeed manufactured cylinders.

I was looking around on the protec website, I guess they did a lot of different porting/stroker options. I'll need to do a little more digging. It looks like someone bought everything protec offered for this ski.

this cylinder doesn't have DBP written on it like most protec cylinders but it's painted just like the head with that heavily textured black paint. I'm not sure what to think.

don't worry about it. I just finished it.

The other ski will get friends out who are friends with my wife which will merge time with wife and time on ski. It also serves as back up/ parts ski for the SJ so that should also equal less down time.

My neighbor has a ProTec 5mil that is a 'race motor' that makes on hell of a freestyle motor.
