primer

ok, this is a noob question. i can build a jet ski but i have no idea how to install a primer. i found a primer in a box of parts i have and it would save the battery if i had one. so i want to install it. how does it go?

You need to put a T fitting into the fuel line and then you need to cut out the choke plate or plates in your carbs .
You need brass plugs for one side of the choke plate hole and the other side gets brass nipples for the primer hose .

T off your fuel line and from there it goes to the primer and then from there you go to the carb/s so you may need a T for the primer line also to split it for 2 carbs :headbang:


The best thing to do is order a kit which comes for 1 or 2 carbs and has the exact size T fittings and plugs and nipples you need and includes a primer and hose also .

The hardest part is cutting out the choke plates .I used a dremel with a cutoff wheel and removed the carbs to do this so nothing would go down into the motor .
