Pre-mix on stock Waveblaster??

New to the forum here. Great info here. I've been lurking for a few days now.

I just recently stole an excellent shape 1993 waveblaster for $1,000 from a local small motorcycle shop. Guy didn't even know what he had. Said it was a 750cc and would do 55 mph. Not with this setup! I didn't do much correcting as I just wanted to get out of there for the $1,000.

I am going to take the oil injection off the 61x, single carb 701cc. I've done that before with a kawasaki 650. I've searched the forum but I couldn't find info for this question.

Anyways, what is the best pre-mix ratio to run? Stock setup now. I was thinking the 50:1. I'll just use some jb weld and screws to plug the oil hoses/pump. I'll get the correct block-off kit later. I am just going to run it once before I dismantle it.

Plan on getting a group-k sleeper modification, factory pipe, new black paint and some gold graphics with red trimmings.

Thanks.

Great, Thanks for the reassurance.

Currently, it smokes too much for my liking when the throttle is hit. Just ran it for 5-10 seconds on dry ground. Haven't opened the motor yet. Starts, idles and rev's just fine. I just figured I would pre-mix it for it's maiden run. Then that would help with diagnosing engine problems, if any.

I think all skis smoke more when they are out of the water, than in the water.
I have a protec pipe for that ski if your interested.

welcome to the board. I just built up a blaster a few months back.
