Porting the cylinder (intake)

So I read the thread on porting 101, 201, etc.. (great one by the way) and I figured I'd just smooth mine out and match the cyl casting to the sleeve. In the process I did smooth out the sleeve some and maybe raised the port .5 to 1 mm max. how will this effect performance, if at all? I did not change the angle any. they were so badly lined up to begin with that if I just hit the aluminum, the roofs would have right angles...! Any thoughts??

Thanks,
Brian

ps - carbide tip is the way to go versus stone, along with wd40..

Hard to say, but keep in mind that when you work on the exhaust ports that is like grinding your own cam shaft. It is best to have it done perfesionally or use a proven template. Matching the casting to the sleeves is not a big deal and should help your motor breathe a little better/ as it was intended.
