You should see my canal, some ahole has there seawall collapse and shoveled all the dirt in. The middle of the canal is about 18" deep (after a lot of rain the last 2 months, before that maybe 12"), while the ends are both about 6' deep. Its ridiculous, a jetski is the only thing that can get through.

Yeah....the moron that built a few lakes in both Carolinas should be shot.

Even when the lakes are full enough there only a couple feet under. F'n stupid. Why would you not cut them all down. Fill lake and float them to shore and cut them up for firewood. Damn rednecks. I wonder how many deaths can be linked to those stumps.

Atleast you can ride. Al the lakes around me are closed due to a lot of rain and raising waters. It sucks and i don't think they will open before the end of the season.

We have a few lakes like this in Kansas. I have always wondered how it will take them to rot away. I would think just a couple of years, but not so. I have been going to the lake for 20 years and those darn tree stumps are still there. SO HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE FOR THEM TO ROT AND FALL OVER?

our dam was made in 1960 -62.
lake was "completed in 1963 making it a year older than me.
stumps are solid at 44 years and counting.
discovery channel showed some fools underwater logging
in Brazil with chainsaws and scuba:sad:
mahogany was like new after 50 years under water
no oxygen- little life and virtually no decomposition

Stumps were a couple inches below the surface.
The bottom of my '90 SN is a little worse for the wear.
I plan to smooth and patch it up this winter when I do WD REVs:wink:
