Hi, I own a 2008 super jet, it ran fine all summer until the last outing when, while riding half throttle across the lake something broke loose and the ski slowed down, there was vibration under my feet and and a low pitched squeal. I was alone on the lake and 1 mile from launch so swimming was not an option so I stated it back up and body dragged @ trolling speed back to launch. Whatever happened I figured would be obvious but after pump and midshaft removal the only thing I have discovered is a tiny bit of wiggle on mid shaft and increased space between couplers with rubber grommet askew between them. Is it possible for the drive shaft to move to the rear when bearings give it up? Everything rotates smoothly, any ideas would be greatly appreciated. Could it be in the engine? Also I checked spline overlap and and its way short. I bought the ski used is it possible the main drive shaft is for another model? Thanks
