Freestyle please help fixing to start reinforceing my hull under the tray.

Fixing to start reinforceing my hull under the tray, whats everyone do about the yamaha clumps of glue, over ride plate inserts, glass around it, remove it and glass over inserts. :scratchchin:

Only use 5200 if you don't plan on glassing over them. If you do want to glass over them mix up some filler and resin and smooth out the lumps with it. Then, before it has a chance to cure, lay the glass over the top. You want every place that would otherwise be a void to be filler instead.

So you basically encapsulate the insert with resin and cloth.ls that what your saying?

I surrounded the insert and green goo with epoxy resin mixed with filler so that glass would lay over it with out creating any voids. I wasn't trying to beef up the insert tho, I needed the glass there for other reasons. The insert and green goo just happened to be in the way.
 
i got the glue removed around one of the inserts, yamaha didnt mess around with there inserts, think im just gonna incapsulate my inserts with thickend epoxy resin, and glass over theme, think itll b a lil lighter that way. I do have another question, after the resin hardens and u can still fill the texture of the glass, was there not enough resin used
