This is probably something that should be in a tool arsenal along with a torque wrench and compression tester.

Any info between the two? Can not find Manufacturer websites.

Pros and cons between the two?

I have the PET tach and it is awesome. It's more $ than tinytach but has alot more options. A tach is something you should only buy once.

I have not used either, but am interested in using one. The general feed back that I have seen is that the tiny tach is hard to read when you're going at 45MPH, and slow to react unless you get the more expensive one. And biggest of all is NOT waterproof!!! Also if it's on a stand up, it's hard to find a place to put it where you can see if

the regular tiny tach slow refresh is pretty annoying. The pro version is supposed to be much faster..anybody try it?

The PET 2500 is VERY nice, but pricey. I finally bent over and bought one last week. Like it a lot. The regular tiny tach may not claim to be waterproof, but mine stayed on my boat for a full year through MANY subs with no problems. Mine was mounted on top of the steering plate. I could see it fine while doing WOT runs.

The Tiny-Tach has a rate of 2.5 seconds between rpm readings and the Pet-Tach has a rate of 20 times per second. The Tiny-Tach retails for $36.95 and the Pet-Tach is over 200.00 dollars. The TMI MiniPro has a rate of 4 times per second a cost $84.95

The TMI mini pro is still not being manufactured. They're still looking for a factory or something. Sounds like it would be decent if it ever becomes available again. Talked to them last week. The PET 2100 is around $200. The PET 2500 is between $350-400. Randy at Watcon carries all the PET tachs. Good guy! www.watcon.com

i like the tiny tach with its 2.5 secs
the flashing numbers on a pet are hard to read when you are down low and giving the ski all its got
at least with the tiny tacho you see a still number

Have you installed it yet?

If not, where do you plan on mounting it and how?
(someplace visible while riding or under the hood?)
