Pair of Wave Raiders

First time posting been lurking for a while. Just bought 2, 1994 wave raiders RA700S 62t cases. My thought is to use one engine as a upgrade project to drop into my 2015 super jet. Any thoughts on the other ski? Fix up? Sell as is? Part out?

I like the idea of parting them both out but keeping enough parts to upgrade your SJ in addition to enough parts to drop in to a second standup hull that the proceeds help buy.

Thanks
Seems like the for sale portion of the X gets good responses to items. I think I will spend some time to get them running so I can give a good description of the parts.

You posted at 9:02 am then come back little over an hour later to no responses. Its Saturday morning. Many are not up yet. I just finished a 26 mile road ride. This is not FB where your gonna get 200 bad opinions in 5 minutes. What you will get for the most part is more knowledgeable answers. You have basically the same motor with only 5 years on it vs motors that are 25 years old. Have they been rebuilt? Also, the only difference is the port timing. The raider cylinders are 62T which will give you more top end with less bottom end power. If you want to go faster then this may be for you. Depends on what you are after. Honestly, i would add a pipe to yours along with prop and modified CDI to raise the rev limiter. Plus handling goodies. Intake grate and rideplate.

The raider engines aren’t an upgrade to your stock engine. You already have 62T cases and the 61x cylinder is more desirable than the 62T.
I was going to send out and get bored and ported. Fit with a pipe. Lighten flywheel. New head or shave the one I have. rebuild carbs. Then put in over the winter.

Thats what I'm looking for. Maybe just part out both and buy another ski? Then I have 2 to switch out. One project one rider. All the other goodies you mention are on the plate.

Depends on what you want. If top end then the 62T cylinders are fine. If you want good all around you are better off sending your stock 61X cylinder out for porting.
