Other Painting this orange POS - Hoodseal Q's???

Going to paint the "General Lee Orange" ski from its current offensive state to something more tolerable.

What do people do with the hoodseal when painting a ski? Tape over it?

Remove it than glue it back on.

remove it and call randy at watcon and order his seal kit. you dont need to clean up the old one 100 percent as long as most of the major jumps are gone. Just acetone the surface peel and stick. Its so freakin easy and that hood seal works killer for keeping water out along with a brap strap. I am beyond stoked with this hoodseal. my old broken hood tore my old one up so i pulled off the old one put the new one on within 15 minutes and was good to go again. not too shabby! If it were me id do it just because its so easy and your paint job would be that much morebetta.

If it is stuck good, then you can just tape it off. I did that on my first paint job. Heck, may have done the same on my second paint job.

Pour acetone in the seal 'tray' and let it set for a few and then carefully pull seal off. Re-attach with Dap weldwood.
What is the new color???
