Painting Experts advice needed

Im painting my ski pearl white and have some blue grpahics going on it. I was thinking of adding a little gold to the clearcoat. Ive seen this over black paint and it looked awesome. My question is, will it give me that effect on the white paint and blue grpahics.

Are there standard colors combinations used when tinting the clear? like black paint = gold tint etc etc

Gold flake or gold kandy in the clear?

Gold flake would look good IMO. Gold Kandy would yellow your already "yellowed" pearl white paint.

I don't think it would look good.

Gold kandy in the clear will show better on darker colours.

I wouldn't tint your clearcoat when applying over a pearl paint. If you pick the wrong colours you will haze the pearl finish and it will look cheesy. Its hard to say with blue and white as your colour selection.

I wouldn't do it.

Instead go for the gold metalflake, will make the paint pop, but again will steal from the pearl finish, too much contrasting shines.

I'd say ditch the pearl and go gold metalflake over black basecoat.

i just sprayed a black with a lot of gold flake in the clear....looks sik.....and im in FL so u wont be copying anyone ill post pics once its back together
