Other Fuels?

Excuse my ignorance, but I was wondering why we don't see any standups with fuels other than gasoline. Would it be possible to run alcohol or nitromethane or any sort of blend and be practical?

it's possible but not practical.... you could run HTG from VP which is some sort of a chemical fuel i know a couple of pros were running it at havasu in pro 1200. i guess for stand ups it would be more practical than in a recreational runabout because of the small amount you guys run at a time
