Where are you guys riding in Florence? South beach? My ski is down for the winter but come spring I'm always looking for a new break and a roadtrip.

Anywhere from South jetty beach to siltcoos dine access, you do need at least a 4wd rig to get over the dune hill onto the beach. Or there are parking lots you can park in and one of us can take your skis over the hill to the beach.

We ride year round as well.

Where are you located??

Cool, good to know. I'm in eastern washington but we head out to coast quite a bit beginning in March to ride with the pacific city crew and the grayland bunch as often as possible. Happened to be talking with a buddy that was on his way home from crescent city last week about riding in florence and coos bay area. I remember visiting south jetty beach as a kid and seeing a grip of surfers out there...wasn't sure if you guys were in the area mixing it up there or if there was another spot that was better.

most the surfers ride in the jetty canal that feeds to the ocean, there is a pretty consistent corner that gets waves that they stay in. they do venture out to the beach sometimes, but there is about 10 miles of beach to share so we never really see them, were about 3 mile south of the canal where we are riding. we usually hang out in the OHV area where all the quads and side by sides are.

there is also a place to ride just north of winchester bay. you take sparrow park road right off of 101 and follow that gravel road til it turn to beach.

We will Be riding at the south Jetty dune access right over the dune hill that accesses the beach. First left after the goosepasture parking lot. Once over the hill we will be somewhere down the beach to the left.

Will a stock late model 4wheel drive pickup make it to the beach and back? I can air my tires down. And my ski will be on a hitch hauler

Yep looks like I'm going to make it. Was wondering if everybody always carries tow straps with them while riding in surf, if so how and where do you put them?
