Super Jet Order of modifications?

For those that started with 650 stockers (or stock 701s) has anyone taken the approach of keeping the engine stock and maxing out all other driveline/electrical components before upgrading to a 61x/62t setup? B-pipe and prop of course, but also a mag pump and cdi.

If you've gone this route please share how it went. Even if you haven't how do you think it would go?

I had a 701 first but I went mag pump and hooker prop before I bothered with a b pipe now I have a b pipe but no mag pump so I guess I'm trying to say it doesn't matter
