Selling all X2 and 650 parts - message me!
- Location
- Cranberry Township, PA
Picked up this X2 today over in Ohio - been sitting on Craigslist for a few weeks now.
Called there a couple times - car junkyard - guy didn't know a whole lot about X2's - after a bit he was able to discern the year of the hull.
He was saying all along the ski was complete except for the hood - the one pic on Craigslist showed some possible funky with the hull.
I decided to go look at it today - knowing the 1986 X2 has the non-rev limited CDI in it - if the ski was at least mechanically there I might have a deal.
As you can see the hull is trashed - looks like it fell off a trailer or something - back end is smashed in, and then the entire tower is sawed loose.
The engine was loose in the hull, the engine compartment full of water and oil from the full oil tank, but I had the engine out in about 15 minutes.
Engine is draining of oil and front cover is off now - it had a good amount of water in it but the flywheel looks good. Engine looks like it's never been apart.
Lots of cleaning later and the good news is the engine rolls over and acts like it should, the ski is complete except for a hood.
The seat is trashed but the seat foam may be OK.
Only plans right now are to start prepping all the parts for sale - if anyone wants to jump on any of these parts pm me!
Thanks Prof
